Job Description:
Groundwork BioAg, located in Mazor, Israel, is hiring a full-time Rootella Carbon Project Manager. This is an opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing, dynamic company that is making strides in bioagriculture while positively impacting the environment. Our products’ unique ability to permanently sequester soil carbon will generate carbon credits across cropland worldwide, while significantly mitigating climate change. This role requires an experienced technical project manager with an understanding of soil carbon science and standards.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the implementation of the Rootella Carbon program across various agricultural landscapes worldwide (starting in North America), ensuring effective execution, data collection, and project validation and verification according to the Verra standard (VM0042 v2.0).
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to execute the carbon business vision in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Lead all aspects of standardization and regulation in this growing field, within the Verra VM0042 v2.0 protocol.
• Lead the development of business collateral, proposals and presentations to create and nurture partnerships.
• Work within a high-performing, international team of scientists, agronomists, data analysts, and carbon project experts.
Requirements:
• Proven track record as Technological Project or Program Manager, preferably in the fields of climate or agriculture.
• Exceptional execution abilities with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or priorities simultaneously in a startup, agile, and rapidly growing environment.
• Academic degrees in soil science, agricultural economics, environmental science, or other related fields (preferred).
• Experience in the sustainability/climate sector with knowledge of key climate frameworks and registry standards such as Verra, SBTi, and Gold Standard (preferred).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, in English (additional languages are a plus), to motivate and engage stakeholders at all levels, both within the organization and externally.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data analysis and data-driven processes.
• Ability to understand and manage the professional aspects of processes, including standards and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to write clear, concise, and professional documents, including proposals, reports, and regulatory submissions.
• Ability to see the whole picture, as well as the details, and connect the dots.
