Job Description:
Groundwork BioAg is seeking a highly motivated and experienced full-time Carbon Project Manager to join our dynamic and growing team in Mazor. As a Carbon Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in realizing the potential of our unique technology to permanently sequester soil carbon, thereby generating carbon credits for our global customer base, starting in North America, and contributing to meaningful climate change mitigation.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders to drive the execution of the carbon business vision within a fast-paced and agile environment.
Apply strong project management principles to oversee multiple aspects of the carbon project simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards within a rapidly scaling organization.
Demonstrate exceptional execution abilities, effectively managing and prioritizing multiple tasks in an agile environment.
Utilize strong data analysis skills to interpret results, generate insights, and inform project development and reporting.
Understand and effectively manage the professional aspects of project processes, including adherence to relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Involved in all aspects of standardization and regulatory compliance, with a primary focus on Verra protocols, including the implementation of standardized soil carbon sampling, measurement methodologies, and the preparation of comprehensive documentation for project validation and verification.
Support the development of compelling proposals, presentations, and other carbon business collateral to cultivate a robust opportunity pipeline and foster strategic partnerships.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant sustainability and climate frameworks and registry protocols beyond Verra, such as SBTi, Isometric, and Gold Standard, to identify potential opportunities and ensure alignment.
Produce clear, concise, and professional written documentation, including proposals, comprehensive reports, and regulatory submissions.
Requirements:
- Proven technological Project or Product Management experience.
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree required;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to see the “big picture” while also focusing on critical details and interdependencies.
- Exceptional execution abilities with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing multi-disciplinary projects and priorities concurrently in an agile and rapidly growing scale-up environment.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and manage the professional aspects of processes, including adherence to relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
- Practical experience in mainstream agriculture, with a particular emphasis on row crops within the US Corn Belt, is a plus.
- Knowledge and experience managing software and data-oriented projects within the agricultural sector is a significant advantage.
- Experience within the sustainability/climate sector, with a solid understanding of key climate frameworks and registry protocols such as Verra, SBTi, Isometric, and Gold Standard, is highly desirable.
- Impeccable communication skills in English, both written and verbal; proficiency in Portuguese or additional languages is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively motivate and engage stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Proven ability to produce clear, concise, and professional written documents, including proposals, reports, and regulatory submissions.
